Self-Defence for Girls and Women is now closed

Classes on Wednesday's in term time now closed permanently

Matt taught a very practical self-defence class for girls from age 10 and women since September 2016.

Aspects of Taekwondo, Tai-Chi and Aikido are all integrated to form the basis of this self-defence module.

Whilst this class is now closed the techniques continue being taught in the Monday TKD classes.

One of the gentle approach attacks is evaded by a quick spin and step with a push kick to the knee.

Sudden attack, push to the wall is evaded by punching inside the elbows with ear slap follow through finished with knee to the groin.

Grab on shoulders from behind is dealt with by step forward then back with elbow strike to ribs or tummy.

Neck strangle is escaped by a step forward then elbow strike to ribs followed with low kick to shin.

More difficult situations are dealt with in class such as floor work.
